Poached Pears in ginger syrup

3 Ingredient Poached Pears in Ginger Syrup with Whipped Cream
Makes 4 servings
Ingredients
- 4 Pears
- 1 bottle 750ml diet or normal ginger beer
- 100ml thickened or whipping cream
Instructions
- Poach pears in ginger beer for 30 minutes on medium to high heat, turning once after 20 mins
- When pears are soft, carefully remove from saucepan and put aside
- Reduce liquid until 6 to 8 tbsp remain
- Whip cream
- Spoon ginger reduction over pears and serve with cream. **add ginger slices for stronger ginger flavour but do not cook ginger for more than 10 minutes as it will turn the liquid bitter.
